Retrieve an EUID
Request thecompany datapoint using the company’s national identifier. The EUID appears alongside its other identifiers in the company response. This response excerpt shows an Italian company:
euid is optional. A missing value does not mean the company is invalid or that no EUID exists. Availability depends on the entity type, source, request mode and available record.
This coverage applies to the queried company. Identifiers on related entities, such as shareholders or representatives, may differ.
EUID is an output identifier. It is not supported as an input to /v2/search or as the company ID for a company request. Use the national identifier described in the country’s guide.
Country coverage
Coverage means the field can be returned. It does not guarantee an EUID for every company or every request mode.
France is not currently supported for this field. For countries not listed, Topograph does not currently declare EUID support. This does not establish whether the national register assigns EUIDs.
Derived EUIDs
Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia and Sweden use country-specific derivation from the source company identity and a supported legal form. Unknown forms and foreign branches are outside this derivation’s scope, even where the register may assign them an EUID. The national number is preserved with the punctuation and leading zeros required by that country. Derivation does not perform a new BRIS lookup for each request. Older cached records may omit the field until refreshed.Italy: derived from the national register number
For supported Italian companies, the EUID isITRI. followed by the 11-digit Registro Imprese number, which is the company’s Codice Fiscale. Leading zeros are preserved.
Topograph derives the value only when the returned tax code is valid and the company’s legal form is supported: SRL, single-member SRL, SRLS, SpA, single-member SpA, SApA, limited-liability or joint-stock consortium companies, and Italian European companies (SE).
The field is omitted for sole traders, partnerships, cooperatives, foreign-law entities and unknown legal forms. Some excluded entities, such as Italian branches of foreign companies, may have an EUID; their availability is outside this derivation’s scope.
The tax code, VAT number and REA number are distinct identifiers. The derivation uses the Codice Fiscale returned for the company. It does not substitute a VAT number or the provincial REA number.
