Canada (Nova Scotia) coverage, pricing, and sources

CA-NS covers entities registered in Nova Scotia. In Canada a company is incorporated either federally or in one province or territory, and each keeps its own register. A federal corporation that registers in Nova Scotia to do business there keeps its own record in Canada (Federal): its Nova Scotia registration is returned here flagged as such (a branch registration, with its home jurisdiction), never as a Nova Scotia incorporation. CA on its own is not a jurisdiction.Table of Contents

Data Sources
Search, company data and legal representatives are read live from the public record of the Registry of Joint Stock Companies, so every request reflects the register as it stands. One read serves both datapoints. A read takes up to a minute, so company data is available in
verification mode only, not in onboarding mode.

Search Capabilities
Active companies only
Search returns inactive entities too (struck off, revoked, amalgamated, dissolved). Each result carries the register’s status, soactiveOnly=true removes the closed ones. A registration revoked less than a year ago can still be reinstated and is kept.
